Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Trade Compliance Teams interpret laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.
What your background should look like:

•Responsible for ensuring exports /Imports are compliant with all relevant export /import regulations in relation to both export control and customs requirements.
•Support business unit foreign trade data classification activities.
•Export licence determination GB / US
•Ensure sure all export meet export control requirements and the compliant records are maintained,
•Ensure appropriate licences are in place for all exports of technology and hardware have appropriate licencing.
•Apply for export licences.
•Denied party screening activities and reporting.
•Attend government audits export control and customs.
•Provide guidance and advice   to engineering, sales, purchasing teams in relation to export control regulations and other import/export compliance matters.
•Key contact for main customs broker for day to day customs matters and queries as required.
•Import reconciliation
•address customs entry errors with customs agent
•Keep up to date with current export control and customs regulations
•Issue LTSDs
•Maintain country of origin data
•Handle customer classification requests

 

Key skills
•Extensive knowledge of UK export control regulations.
•A understanding of US export control regulations & familiarity with other export control regulations (France / Germany).
•Knowledge of EU export and Import export compliance & audit requirements.
•Competence with Trade Automation Compliance Software, SAP, HMRC Taric System &  SPIRE.
•Excellent communication skills
•Business Acumen and experience of International trade.
