Electrical Maintenance Mechanic – Nights Shift  

Attractive Salary per annum dependent on experience, plus 33% shift allowance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our Maintenance Team, predominantly supporting our Materials Compounding plant and working as part of a small and tight-knit team. The Maintenance Team is a vital part of our production facility, ensuring that our plant machinery is in good working order and breakdowns are promptly resolved.

This is a busy and varied role with a focus on planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs for bulk powder mixers, hydraulics, electro-pneumatics and PLC. There will also be a need for installation support on an ad-hoc basis.

Safety is a key part of how we operate, so knowledge of the health and safety requirements is essential, along with a commitment to working safely at all times.

We are seeking someone with excellent analytical skills who is experienced in fault-finding and can manage and contribute to the solution of problems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a flexible approach to work who is able to flex their working hours to ensure the impact of breakdowns is minimised and machines are back up and running as the priority.

The successful candidate will also support with the effective coaching and mentoring of our Maintenance Apprentice.

Essential criteria:

  • Candidates must have completed an approved Electrical apprenticeship
  • 17th edition essential 
  • Proven experience of working within a Maintenance position
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements in a maintenance environment
  • Team player
  • Hands-on and ‘can do’ attitude, self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently on a variety of problems and with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexible approach
