CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ANALYST II

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

Tasks Summary and Responsibilities:

- Support site leader to develop a 3-5 years lean vision for the site (layout, Flow, Capacity, automation), breakthrough objectives and transformation plan.
- Select the transformation projects applicable for site on yearly basis to achieve 3-5 years vision
- Set and clarify ambitions of the site aligned with ICT BU roadmaps, develop Site Improvement plan with site leaders, facilitate the translation of goals at each layers and departments, track the monthly progress on KPI scorecard, promote and share successes and good practices across the BU and TE
- Lead to build site transformation plan to cover all required lean tools / elements and support deployment plan execution
- Lead and support Kaizen workshops to execute transformation plan
- Perform the star level assessment of the site
- Drive operational performance. Practice Gemba on regular basis to check adjust the daily performance, is involved in complex problem solving as master, Identify and challenge gap to target on the day to day operations
- Search for implementation and share Best Practices in TEOA or other continuos improvements with other site within BU or global TE
- Implementation of TEOA improvement tools on site, starting with site value stream mapping, standardized work, change over Standards (flexibility), reduction of Line stoppages, line balancing, and overall efficiency.
- Contribute to lead time reduction by assuring the implementation of continuous flow, layout optimization, pull-system and speed up flows by coaching and/or leading TEOA/Lean principles workshops.
- People development - prepare the education and training program of all employees on TEOA / lean tools, deliver regular training and On Job Training, coaching, manage the tracking and execution of training and proficiency of the managers and employees, recognize and reward the new skills achieved among employees
- Be the role model of an active change agent within the plant, by cultivating a TEOA/ Lean Manufacturing mind-set
- Support team on cost reduction based on gap to benchmark & ​​plant priorities

What your background should look like:

- Mechanical Engineer or master degree in manufacturing 
- 5-8 years of on-site experience within manufacturing or engineering segment close to operations
- 3-5 years of  leadership experience, good awareness of lean concepts
- Knowledge in Supply Chain will be an asset
- Recognized Lean practitioner 
- Fluent in German and English
