TE Connectivity's Product Pricing Teams determine the price of new and existing products by evaluating cost, marketplace, competitor data, economic conditions, volume, and quality of the product, as well as market positioning.

Short Description

Pricing is a part of the Product Management organization and is aligned with both Product Management and Demand Management with strong linkages to Sales and Finance.  The Global Pricing Team has general responsibility for optimizing book, agreement, and competitive pricing across all sales channels.

The Pricing Excellence Manager will have primary responsibility for the global pricing infrastructure including system architecture, process efficiency, enterprise pricing projects, and team education. This is a unique role because of its exposure to all aspects of pricing and extensive work with functional teams in the business. The role will also participate in the development of valued-based product pricing strategies and executing them in the most efficient & profitable way. The role will be a member of the Pricing Leadership Team in creating an industry-leading pricing team where value generation and price optimization are the cornerstones.

The candidate will form trusted relationships with senior leaders and advise on pricing matters to drive business growth and optimize performance. The ideal candidate is at the intersection of strong strategic and analytical thinking combined with leadership skills to inspire change. Most importantly, the candidate will deliver through strong relationships and excellent communication to reach alignment across teams. The candidate must possess a collaborative spirit, excellent commercial acumen, and a hands-on style. 

Other responsibilities include the following:

    Participate in defining the vision and value of pricing to the business
    Manage technology roadmap and ensure alignment with long-term pricing strategy 
    Develop pricing education program working with TE pricing community

    Ensure pricing policies & procedures are supported by sustainable practices
    Define and embed value-based price strategies in processes
    Participate in process innovation & improvements based on solid ROI
    Champion adoption of TEOA practices across the ADM Pricing organization

    Monitor and challenge overall price trends & health of price decisions
    Monitor daily transactions for price leakage and drive corrective actions
    Leverage AI to drive transactional customer & product price decisions
    Perform analysis to support key business unit initiatives 

    Drive pricing education & development with infrastructure roadmap
    Challenge each person to perform at the highest-level

What your background should look like:

The successful candidate will be a talented business professional with at least five years of Pricing experience in a global business. Additional background working in Sales or Product Management would be ideal. The candidate will be experienced working in a fast-based and demanding global environment. They will have a track record of successfully leading large projects across a global organization. This will include experiences on cross-functional teams and examples of building partnerships with Product Management, Sales, Finance, and other functional areas of the business.  

The ideal candidate will be viewed as a good listener and creative thinker. They will bring a sense of urgency to the pricing organization, will lead by example, and take personal ownership in assignments. They will be an inspiring person who will hold themselves and team members accountable for achieving world-class pricing status.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements: 
•    Knowledge of value-based pricing concepts, methodologies, and related processes
•    Analytical thinker capable of interpreting complex data to solve the most difficult commercial issues
•    Exceptional project management and communication skills
•    Experience with SAP and/or Advanced Pricing Software (PROS preferred) 

An undergraduate degree in business, economics, or comparable work experience is required. An advanced degree is highly desired.

The position is on the Price Leadership Team and report to the Pricing Director.

•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $98 – 148K (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
