The Automotive business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for an experienced Leader responsible for EMIA distribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing automotive product sales through TE Connectivity’s distribution channel. They will be the main point of contact for distributors’ automotive product related needs, establish relationships with distributors’ teams and key engineering stakeholders at channel served customers. They will work with cross-functional teams in product management, marketing, operations and direct-sales, sharing a thorough understanding of channel & distributor requirements. This leader will provide strategic, technical & application guidance and introduce TE automotive technologies and products that meet customer needs in Automotive and non Automotive applications and be a significant interface with our population of distribution partners and internal stakeholders. This leader will also enable the execution of our long tail part number efficiency project with the local Organization. On top this leader will grow his EMIA team with individual performance and development plans to achieve top performance and high employee engagement
Your main tasks:
- Establish and drive the EMIA Distribution strategy in alignment with our global purpose
- Collaborate and drive our direct Product Management and Marketing team to sell the right portfolio from all 4 value drivers (SPC, PFM, Data and E-Mobility), supported with professional campaigns and go to market activities
- Establish a 5-year EMIA growth Strat plan aligned with the TE Channel organization and the respective major Distributors
- Enable our distributor partner sales & technical teams to promote TE Automotive product solutions at new and existing customers in all applications a TE Auto product is appropriate, with a high focus to achieve ease of doing business with TE
- Expand the reach of customers geographically and application focused by strong lead Management
- Execute with authorized channel partners to create and manage long-term demand forecast
- Define and execute the right set of motivation factors to get TE the first choice for every Distributor
- Set up the right performance measurements and track record/review with the Auto team, the Channel Organization and our major Distributors
- Secure the right product pricing towards Distribution partners with the aim of increasing our TERP conversion rate and gaining market share
- Establish strong relations with our Distribution partners, the Channel organization and all direct functions within the region
- Build a Distributor partner base in India
Your ideal background:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, 10+ years of experience in Sales and Team Management
- Extensive familiarity with the electronics component, Transportation and Automotive industry
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective communication skills (verbal, written)
- Essential proficiency in negotiation, extending to interactions with executives at all tiers of an organization
- Self-motivated individual capable of assessing market requirements and achieving notable outcomes and strong results
- Inherent ability to cultivate robust professional relationships and foster collaboration across multiple functions including BU Management, Product Management and Marketing, as well as direct regional Sales, Operations, Supply chain and Finance
- Notable organizational, strategic and planning skills, indicative of effective task management
- Strong work ethic and team enabling with Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork and live SET
