Job Requirements
Business Operating System
• Design and run weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews, with clear purpose, participants, decision owners, and escalation paths.
• Design an action-biased operating system that will set the pace, rhythm and determine health of the organization
• Connect functional reviews to leadership decisions and corporate commitments; translate outcomes into updated priorities, resources, program plans, and named actions with follow-through.
• Partner with PMO to implement shared workflows, scorecards, and automation, leveraging existing enterprise and PMO capabilities rather than creating parallel systems.
Integrated Planning & Business Performance
• Bring together Sales, Product Management, Strategy, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to reconcile commercial opportunity with execution capacity.
• Coordinate reviews of sales pipeline, voice of customer, competition, go-to-market strategy, portfolio priorities, product roadmaps, and resource allocation.
• Integrate financial forecasts and performance with footprint, supply chain effectiveness, and product, machine, and factory ramp readiness; pressure-test assumptions, gaps, and tradeoffs.
Risk, Decisions & Executive Communication
• Build single source of truth for business and maintain health scorecards, heatmaps, business risks, gaps and ramp readiness views using function-owned data
• Build a system for generating early warning signals for the business and serve as leading indicators to business health
• Challenge inconsistencies, assess business impact with owners, and drive mitigation plans and escalations before commitments are missed; verify that actions address the underlying risk.
• Prepare decision briefs and corporate and board readouts; coordinate Finance-led earnings reviews and synthesize relevant customer and competitor earnings signals with commercial teams.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
• Hire, coach, and develop Business Operations talent across performance analysis, planning, and operating-cadence management as the scope grows.
• Set clear team ownership and standards for analytical quality, executive communication, and cross-functional follow-through.
• Improve decision turnaround, early risk detection, and action effectiveness while reducing reporting effort and eliminating reviews that do not improve execution.
What your background should look like
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in Business Operations, strategy, operations, business planning, general-management support, or program leadership with business-level accountability.
• Proven experience building and running cross-functional planning cycles, business reviews, and performance-management mechanisms in a complex technical or manufacturing environment.
• Commercial and financial fluency, including the ability to interpret pipeline, forecasts, revenue, margins, spending, capacity, and their operational drivers.
• Structured, analytical thinking and hands-on spreadsheet, presentation, and business-analytics skills; able to turn incomplete information into clear options and recommendations.
• Strong executive communication and facilitation skills, with demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions, influence senior stakeholders, and drive action without direct authority.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and developing teams, combined with the willingness to personally lead analysis, review preparation, and implementation.
• Strong commercial and financial judgment, structured thinking, executive influence, and hands-on analytical capability
Highly Preferred
• Experience in optics, semiconductors, electronics, industrial technology, or other complex hardware businesses.
• Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing or a fast-growing business within a larger enterprise.
• Experience preparing corporate or board materials and connecting commercial, financial, portfolio, and operational planning.
