At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.
Job Overview
The Data Devices & Networks (DDN) Business Unit at TE Connectivity is experiencing rapid growth driven by the expansion of Edge Compute, Edge AI, and IoT. Customers across industries are building the next generation of intelligent infrastructure where data is sensed, processed, connected, and acted upon closer to where it is created. TE’s products sit at the intersection of connectivity, compute, and data, enabling distributed intelligence across markets such as industrial automation, smart cities, robotics, EV infrastructure, medical devices, and general-purpose IoT.
The Edge marketplace includes hardware, connectivity, sensors, compute modules, antennas, and AI-enabling components that enable local data processing rather than reliance solely on centralized cloud infrastructure. Edge compute solutions allow gateways, processors, and modules to perform local analytics, decision-making, and filtering, while Edge AI enables on-device inference, sensor-level intelligence, and machine learning acceleration. IoT systems combine sensors, antennas, connectors, wireless modules, and other building blocks to enable distributed sensing and control, while ecosystem solutions involve semiconductor reference designs, ODM platforms, system integration partners, and cloud and edge orchestration providers.
This marketplace is highly fragmented and driven by vertical applications including factory automation, retail automation, smart buildings, logistics and asset tracking, energy management, EV charging, and medical devices. Success requires strong application-level focus, strategic ecosystem partnerships, and product roadmaps aligned to rapid innovation cycles.
The Senior Director, Product Management will lead TE’s Edge and IoT segment within the DDN portfolio with full P&L ownership and global people leadership. This leader will define the company’s long-term position in the Edge ecosystem, identify profitable application opportunities, and expand TE’s portfolio across compute, connectivity, and intelligent component solutions. The role is highly visible and strategic, requiring a customer-focused and commercially strong leader who can operate effectively in a global matrix environment and engage regularly with senior leadership, including the executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Edge and IoT portfolio with full P&L accountability, delivering ambitious growth and margin performance while defining the overall market strategy across key applications, customer segments, and ecosystem partners.
- Develop and execute a multi-year strategic roadmap integrating antennas, connectors, sensing technologies, compute modules, and Edge AI capabilities to expand TE’s relevance in the distributed intelligence ecosystem.
- Lead market segmentation and opportunity analysis to identify the most profitable vertical applications within the Edge marketplace and prioritize investments accordingly.
- Define Make, Buy, or Partner strategies to accelerate expansion into new technologies, platforms, and solution areas while ensuring alignment with overall portfolio strategy.
- Drive the full product lifecycle from opportunity identification and business case development through product requirements, development execution, commercialization, and successful global product launches.
- Establish and operationalize the go-to-market model for Edge and IoT solutions across key vertical markets such as edge datacenters, industrial automation, smart cities, robotics, energy and EV infrastructure, medical devices, and consumer IoT.
- Develop application-specific value propositions and solution sets that clearly differentiate TE’s capabilities within targeted markets and improve customer adoption.
- Build and scale a global ecosystem of partners including semiconductor companies, reference design providers, ODMs, module manufacturers, distributors, and system integrators to accelerate design-in cycles and expand market reach.
- Enable sales teams with clear segmentation, value propositions, competitive positioning, and revenue models while partnering closely with marketing and commercial leaders to strengthen the opportunity pipeline and increase win rates.
- Ensure the product portfolio aligns with fast innovation cycles by supporting reference platforms, solution kits, and design enablement tools that accelerate customer development timelines.
- Engage directly with strategic customers, distribution partners, and ecosystem collaborators to shape product direction, strengthen relationships, and drive revenue growth.
- Represent the Edge and IoT portfolio in executive briefings, industry events, and strategic partner engagements.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a global team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, inclusion, and continuous talent development.
What your background should look like:
- 10+ years of experience across product management, product line management, business development, or technical sales within technology-driven markets, ideally supported by a strong engineering foundation.
- Demonstrated ownership of a large-scale business or product portfolio with P&L responsibility of approximately $200M or greater within IoT, industrial technology, connectivity, or Edge-related markets.
- Deep understanding of Edge computing, Edge AI, IoT architectures, and enabling technologies such as cloud infrastructure, compute modules, antennas, connectors, and distributed intelligence platforms.
- Proven ability to define and execute product strategies and roadmaps that lead to successful product launches and measurable commercial impact.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence across cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and operations in a global matrix environment.
- Experience developing and managing ecosystem partnerships including semiconductor vendors, ODMs, module manufacturers, distributors, and system integration partners.
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business strategies and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing global teams with an inclusive, growth-oriented leadership style.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment with the ability to navigate complexity and drive strategic alignment across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Ability to travel globally up to approximately 25%.
