The Technician is responsible to support processes or equipment in production.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Work with Process and Manufacturing Engineering to develop and refine processes for production.
  • Work with Development or Manufacturing on the transfer of new products to manufacturing and define process capabilities.
  • Fixture development to improve throughput in manufacturing, this to include concept, refinement, evaluation, and implementation.
  • Support and run experiments to evaluate process improvement ideas.
  • Review and implement supporting documentation including DHR’s, MPI’s, SOP’s, & ECO’s.
  • Identify training requirements and train production personnel in accordance with company, department, ISO, and GMP guidelines.
  • Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment, changes and improvements.
  • Supports the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to support manufacturing lines by conducting PM’s, documenting PM procedures and adhering to the PM scheduling for equipment under area of responsibility.
  • Assist in conducting IQ/OQ/PQ process of equipment. Assist in the creation and maintenance of up-to-date area SOPs.
  • Perform setup, troubleshooting and shut down of equipment. 
  • Maintain and comply with ISO13485, GMP and FDA regulations.
  • Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.
  • Interface with a variety of personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.







Education/Experience and Qualifications:

  • GCE “O” level or higher with 1-3-year assembly or technician experience preferably in medical device.
  • Able to work with a variety of equipment and to troubleshoot and correct mechanical/electrical problems as they arise.
  • Computer literacy required.  Familiar with Microsoft office software and AutoCAD a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in writing manufacturing procedures and GMP requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in GMP, ISO, cleanroom procedures, and documentation.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of broad scope of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.



Work Environment


While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

Controlled Environment (Class 100K cleanroom) and office area.


Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP’s) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.
