Sr. Product Marketing Specialist

Job Overview

As a member of the Product Marketing team, the Product Marketing Analyst will drive awareness and demand for new and legacy Data & Devices products in collaboration with Product Management, Sales and Channel partners. The Product Marketing Analyst will lead the product launch process, develop compelling product messaging and develop impactful product marketing plans. This role is located in Shanghai, China and reports to the Product Marketing Manager, located in Harrisburg, USA.

Key Responsibilities

Generate customer demand and loyalty by developing, deploying and measuring the results of clear and compelling product marketing programs for both new product introductions (NPIs), legacy product promotions and technology solutions.

  • Create effective marketing programs by working with internal and external creative resources to develop content that results in lead generation and product sales to support both high impact product launches and improve sales in weaker product lines
  • Manage the product launch process with Product Management, ensuring new products are sales ready, both for direct and channel customers.
  • Integrate Channel partner’s marketing programs into all relevant product marketing plans by collaborating with Channel Marketing and Sales organizations around the world.
  • Define, measure and report on the return of all demand marketing activities and investments.
  • Work with Product Managers and Engineers to tell the TE/BU product story and communicate with Product Managers on key product development and updates.
  • Develop strong local market knowledge about industries and customers in order to add regional specifics to all work
  • Ensure all global product marketing plans for new or legacy products include messaging that is relevant and impactful to an Asia-Pacific audience.
  • Work with marketing team as a product expert, providing guidance and suggestions for featured products in various integrated and channel marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Manage assigned budget in line with plan.
Required Skills and Experience
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing communications, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years in a Marketing role at a technology or manufacturing company, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Product Marketing
  • Ability to influence internal business partners with whom no direct reporting relationship exists
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive projects to completion
  • Proven track-record of strategic thinking and taking initiative on new ideas and problem solving
  • Experience with direct marketing, web/digital marketing, and collateral production
  • Excellent bilingual written and oral communications skills
  • Knowledgeable on current marketing communications trends and practices
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in cross functional teams
