Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. Logistics analyst is accountable for managing strategic and operational ocean projects and supplier performance management, focused on new business, re-engineered business opportunities and systems, cost improvements and operational efficiencies, from inception to delivery including planning, design, and execution; and assisting with implementation across multi-functional business units.  Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support global tender and manage the regional ocean RFQ for AP region and implementation
  • Responsible for ocean forwarder / carrier performance management and reporting
  • Identify logistics areas for process improvement and cost savings to fulfill business unit expectations
  • Responsible for ocean cost analyses by route by BU in AP region
  • Collaborate with associates to improve efficiency, productivity and processes.
  • Support logistics freight payment audit and internal audit
  • Meet with business unit management and staff to review new business/project, and proposed re-engineered business process and analyze feasibility of projects, critical success criteria
  • Develop detailed logistics project charter and plan (goals, objectives, strategy, scope, budget, scheduling, risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, approach, requirements, deliverables, timelines, work breakdown structures, use case, test case, and training needs) utilizing project management disciplines and methodologies.
  • Engage key stakeholders, define and coordinate activities, communicate changes and progress, build commitment, overcome resistance, and lead project team.
  • Collaborate with IT management and staff to develop, define, and document technical systems and operational requirements and critical success criteria.
  • Support department leadership by assuming other department projects
  • Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a logistics analyst role or similar roles in logistics or supply chain management.  Minimum 3 years ocean management experience.
  • Experience with advanced freight/Warehouse technology and system is a plus
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
