Job Overview

Role Overview
This position will work closely with the Indirect Procurement team to drive Capex procurement execution for new projects, ensure alignment with BU priorities, and improve sourcing efficiency. The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and hands-on, with experience in CAPEX procurement and direct sourcing for mechanical components, stamping, and molding.

Required Skills

Qualifications & Skills
•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
•    10  years of experience in CAPEX procurement and direct sourcing for mechanical, stamping, and molding components.
•    Strong ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
•    Good understanding of capital equipment sourcing processes and supplier development.
•    Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
•    Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and problem-solving capability.

Responsibilities

Capex Equipment Procurement Coordination
•    BU Priority & Indirect Equipment Procurement Needs
o    Consolidate and communicate BU procurement requirements to ensure alignment with the Indirect Procurement team.
•    Supplier Optimization & Development Strategy
o    Support supplier capability assessment and development initiatives, including second-source strategies.
•    Communication & Coordination
o    Act as a bridge between DDN and the Indirect Procurement team to ensure alignment.
o    Facilitate technical communication with PDE and plant teams to optimize schedules and second-source development.
o    Represent BU requirements during supplier negotiations.
•    Support Equipment Sourcing Strategy Development
o    Contribute to long-term sourcing strategies to improve overall procurement efficiency.
•    Drive Cost and Lead Time Improvement
o    Identify and implement measures to reduce cost and shorten delivery timelines.
Direct Procurement for Mechanical Components
•    Manage sourcing for mechanical parts, stamping, and molding components.
•    Evaluate suppliers for technical capability, cost competitiveness, and capacity.
Supplier Capability & Development
•    Assist in supplier qualification and second-source development.
•    Support risk mitigation and capacity planning for critical processes.
Continuous Improvement
•    Drive commodity initiatives and global sourcing projects.
