Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

What your background should look like:

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities (please enclose organizational charts)
-    Responsible for Internal connector product development and product maintenance. (Including but not limited MB+,MBXLE, Card Edge, etc.) 
-    Work closely plant for production issues resolved, make engineering EC to production parts.
-    Follow up with LeanPD process (new product development process), join the mandatory and optional engineering practices (PRD, DFMEA, etc.).
-    Support extension concept / design and feasibility study, drawing / spec / necessary engineering documents and manage it correctly released following company process.
-    Lead in resolving mass production issues down to the closure and manage design & engineering changes.
-    Technical support to plant. Conduct necessary test, engineering analysis for production issues.
-    Support CPR/CVM model set up, PCN process etc.
-    Judging manufacturing deviations and make decisions on deviation acceptance
-    Working on FAI approvals and support on process capability study and 8D report.
-    Driving cost reduction from design prospective. 
-    Domestic / oversea business travel if needed.
-    Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

-    B.S. degree or above majored in mechanical engineering or related field required
-    6 years working experience in connector development or DataComm industries technology field.
-    Experience of engineering project management.
-    Experience of hands-on working.
-    Knowing well of Multi Beam etc. industrial standard, abundant experience on Card Edge etc. connector development.
-    Knowledge on high current is a plus.
-    Basic knowledge in machining, molding, stamping, plating, automation process.
-    Abundant knowledge in material (metal/plastic) properties and industry standard.
-    Knowledge on quality methodology for new product development. 
-    Good communication skill and proactively communicate with team members.
-    Good presentation skills with usage of PowerPoint.
-    Proficient using Pro/E and AutoCAD software with solid working experience, FEA simulation skill (Ansys, Ansoft HFSS, Mold flow) will be a plus.
-    Proficient using MS software. (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook etc.)
-    Capability of data analysis and effective problem solving skills. 
-    Able to handle multiple tasks and cost down.
-    Willing working under pressure.
-    Able to communicate in English both oral and written.
