Delivers strong impact in LEANPD – driven new product development by advancing both existing and new manufacturing technologies to improve process capability and
tolerance control. Acts as the key interface between Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering, ensuring effective and efficient collaboration. Supports design
optimization for manufacturability, develops sample tooling and prototypes, and designs, qualifies, and documents tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production
standards. Ensures supplier capability and compliance, drives continuous improvement in quality, cost, and cycle time, and maintains full adherence to specifications, regulatory, and
customer requirements.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the adoption of new technologies, processes, and automation for new NPI programs.
- Lead NPI and PTI activities, and collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing Engineer and Quality to maintain the highest controllable quality standards.
- Initiate process flows, process control plans, and ongoing process monitoring.
- Initiate process control sheets, work instructions, operation manuals, and production game plans.
- Drive productivity improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve in-production assembly processes, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, efficiency, cost, and environmental compliance.
- Specify jigs, fixtures, and tools for the new product, or the transfer product.
- Take responsibility for ***-Article and pre-production runs (FOR/PP runs).
- Support and implement engineering change requests (ECR/ECO).
- Perform process validation, including new process and new equipment/machine qualification.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or above
- 5 - 10 years prior experience in electronics manufacturing or related field
- Professional in process improvement, process control and new process implementation
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing process operations, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, SPC implementation, and quality control methodologies.
- Basic to intermediate project planning and execution skills.
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949.
- Knowledge of applicable IEC and IPC standards.
- Proficient in both English and Chinese, written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude, effective teamwork, and demonstrated leadership potential.
