Job Overview

This position is primarily responsible for drafting and reviewing commercial contracts relating to the day-to-day activities of the company as well as the related plants; managing and coordinating projects and driving solutions to meet project objectives; providing project management support for key legal initiatives..  The successful candidate will also need to maintain the contract management system, ensure that contracts are processed and reviewed by the appropriate persons and functions, and maintain the contracts files.  In addition, the incumbent will have exposures to compliance matters, such as compliance training, plant audits, RBA, REACH, RoHS, Conflict Mineral, etc.

What your background should look like:

Contract drafting/review and workflow
Draft/review commercial contracts and manage the contract review work flow by interfacing with other functions, including but not limited to product management, operations, procurement, quality, sales, marketing, engineering, finance, trade compliance, and real estate to ensure the content of the contract has been reviewed by other applicable functions and has obtained the required approvals.  Provide the clean version of the contract to the review requester after obtaining different functions’ comments.  Advise relevant functions when contracts are due for renewal or expiration.    
•    Contract process
Monitor usage of the Contract Management System to make sure all the contracts in the system follow the contract review process.  Coordinate with the system owner and provide daily support to local users to ensure the system operates smoothly.  Maintain the file system for all copies of the original executed contracts, and coordinate and respond to inquiries regarding the archived contracts.

•    Compliance process
Work with various functions and local plant colleagues regarding request for plant audit, RBA, REACH, RoHS, Conflict Mineral, etc. related compliance documents and declarations.  Able to conduct compliance trainings.

Requirements and Qualifications
•    Graduating from an accredited law program or a law degree is required. 
•    That the candidate passed the bar exam in mainland China is a must.
•    At least two years of relevant work experience in a law firm or an international corporation.
•    A LLM or other legal degree from a European or North American law school is preferred, but not required.Hardworking and diligent at work.
•    Strong legal sense and good analytical thinking skills.
•    Can independently draft and review commercial contracts and documents.
•    Fluency in reading, writing and speaking both Chinese and English is required. Additional language skill is a plus.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
