Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s IT Software and Systems Administration Teams support mainframe, Unix, Linux, and Windows based servers. This includes installation, configuration, ongoing maintenance and backup/recovery of physical and virtual servers. They monitor servers for performance and availability, and works with customers and vendors to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. TE’s IT Software and Systems Administration Teams analyze application requirements and recommend appropriate hardware configuration to meet requirements, install, configure, upgrade, monitor, troubleshoot technical systems software such as middleware, portal, e-mail, collaboration, unified communications, systems monitoring, trouble ticketing, software distribution, etc. They also evaluate new products, upgrade features and recommend toolset selection.

ob Summary:  
TE Connectivity is offering a ServiceNow ITOM specialist position within its globally acting Service Management team starting October 2021. As the ServiceNow ITOM Specialist, you will use your IT Operation Management (ITOM) experience to act as a thought leader regarding ServiceNow. Specifically, an in-depth knowledge of CMDB and Discovery implementation and management are essential. You will collaborate tight with the ServiceNow architect, Configuration Librarians, IT Asset Manager, the other members of the ITSM Solutions team and the stakeholders of the Configuration Management process within an international environment.

Specifically, you take on:
•    As an ITOM Technical Specialist focusing on ITOM development and configuration on the ServiceNow platform, you will deliver finalized ServiceNow Solutions utilizing the ServiceNow ITOM applications
•    Comfortable in Jason scripting and coding ITOM solutions, namely Event, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Orchestration
•    Knowledgeable and familiar in the ServiceNow ITOM offerings and can lead a customer through knowledge and requirements discussions for implementing and deploying ServiceNow ITOM, including the following: Event Management, Discovery, CMDB, Orchestration, Service Mapping & Integrations
•    Code and Develop customized Patterns, Probes, and Sensors for Discovery and Service Mapping.
•    Sound knowledge in CMDB and its operation management
•    Deliver technical workshops on ITOM: Event, Discovery, CMDB, Orchestration, Service Mapping, Cloud Management
•    Expert understanding of import sets and transform maps, working with external data sources, ServiceNow data mapping
•    Knowledge of identification, classification rule in CMDB
•    Knowledge over the event and alert rule
•    Articulate the ServiceNow CMDB Classes for Asset and Configuration, their relationships and dependencies
 
Competencies & Experience Required/Desired:  
•    ServiceNow ITOM specialist Should have relevant experience of 5+ years and 10+ years of Total experience.
•    Required Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM implementations
•    Required Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB Architecture
•    Must be hands-on
•    Strong communication skills
•    Ability to work independently and be customer-focused
•    Strong experience in Service Mapping, Discovery, Event Management (preferred)
