As a key member of the Medical Strategy team, the Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Development will play a critical role in shaping the portfolio strategy and competitive positioning of the Medical business. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, this role supports strategic decision-making to drive sustainable, above-market growth across organic and inorganic initiatives.

This position partners closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure strategies remain responsive to evolving external factors, including technology trends, customer needs, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics.

Your main responsabilities

  • Strategy & Growth Leadership

    • Contribute to the development of strategies that drive profitable organic and inorganic growth.
    • Identify and evaluate new growth platforms and opportunities by assessing market attractiveness, competitive dynamics, business models, and “what it takes to win.”
    • Support alignment on strategic direction and execution plans across leadership and cross-functional teams.
    • Help lead the annual strategic planning process and strengthen strategic capabilities across the organization.

    Market, Competitive & Business Analysis

    • Generate market and business intelligence insights through fact-based analysis of market trends, customer needs, competitive landscapes, and technology advancements.
    • Lead primary and secondary research to inform strategic choices and investment priorities.
    • Constructively challenge existing assumptions to refine “where to play” and “how to win” decisions.

    Project & Stakeholder Leadership

    • Lead complex, cross-functional strategy projects using a hands-on, hypothesis-driven approach.
    • Develop high-quality project deliverables and executive-level presentations.
    • Build strong relationships across functions and levels to ensure alignment and effective resource allocation.
    • Support strategy deployment and, when needed, assist with implementation to ensure impact.

    M&A and Inorganic Growth

    • Research, identify, and assess inorganic growth opportunities.
    • Support M&A pipeline development, evaluation, and management.

Your ideal background

Experience & Education

  • 3+ years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm, with additional in-house strategy experience in an industrial or healthcare-related company preferred.
  • Experience in MedTech and/or CDMO environments strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to sales, operations, or product management is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree from a top program highly preferred.
  • Engineering background at undergraduate or graduate level is a strong plus, but not mandatory.
  • M&A deal experience preferred but not required.

Capabilities & Skills

  • Proven ability to manage strategy projects end-to-end and provide thought leadership to diverse teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, compelling messages for senior audiences.
  • Strong active listening and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to influence without authority and align stakeholders around a common vision.
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to stay connected to strategy execution and support implementation when required.
