PM Finance / Project Controlling Financial Analyst

The Analyst will assume broad financial, strategic, and operational leadership responsibilities across TE Energy business. The role will serve as a key business partner driving financial performance, operational and strategic planning, and operations effectiveness of Global Product Management and TE Energy R&D organizations.
The position reports to the Global FP&A Lead for the Energy BU and will business partner with the ENG Global PM lead, ENG VP & Chief Technical Officer (CTO), as well as their organizations, the Strategy Team, Regional Controllers and Global Finance Team.
Your main tasks:
- Upfront financial screening (including but not limited to sales forecast, pricing, costing elements, engineering spends) of the projects brought for approval to upper management and follow-up on any finance-related action items. Challenge the teams to maximize ROI
- Drive reporting optimization on main Product Management and Engineering KPIs: ensure that reporting is available on a timely manner and according to business needs, work closely with the Analytics Team to optimize existing processes and develop new ones, communicate on reporting changes, and seek feedback from business partners on potential improvement, provide analytical insights and KPI improvement suggestions on a pro-active manner
- Support PMs and Engineering leadership in the preparations of monthly business reviews. Support the Global FP&A team with the monthly and quarterly reports, including Segment presentation and Product Gross Margin maintenance
- Be the finance business partner for assigned Engineering PAC Projects, support project teams with financial analysis (business case review and assessment, cost calculation/estimates, CERs), participate to the Regional PAC and Core team meetings and align with Regional Controlling on the financial impact on their Profit and Loss
- Support Product Management on low-negative product margin improvement as well as ad-hoc cost analysis and footprint optimization
- Quarterly and Yearly Product Management bonus calculation, assessing achievement of various targets, depending on region and product assignment. Support in the setting of new Yearly targets for the Product Management organization
Your ideal background:
- Accredited professional finance qualification (MBA, BWL, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
- Relevant work experience in an international manufacturing environment
- Team player and ability to deliver results to tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills coupled with a strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated and proactive attitude with strong communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter, able to generate own workstreams and drive improvements independently. Positive attitude
- Fluent English (verbal/written)
- Good knowledge of Excel, MS Tools, and SAP; Tableau and Hyperion are a plus
