The objective of this position is to ensure that all those individuals who participate and contribute to the quality of product manufacturing are all competent based on appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
Job Requirements
Responsibility Includes the Following Tasks
- Person is responsible for coordinating internal and external training for plant personnel and providing trained staff to areas as needed through trainers.
- To ensure the training department complies with the quality system.
- Must be familiar with, comply with, and implement Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental policies applicable to the company.
- To coordinate with supervisors or training matrix owners for updates.
- To arrange training rooms for new employee training and provide the necessary resources for theoretical and practical assessments.
- Monitor ongoing training and ensure compliance with certifications and recertifications. To generate reports on training progress.
- To manage the sending of training documents to the document control area.
- To ensure the training system contains accurate, up-to-date, and organized information.
- To participate in problem-solving meetings with Core teams when requested to contribute.
- Valuable input for updating personnel training.
- To coordinate with HR personnel for induction talks and scheduled training courses.
- Supported trainers during scheduled courses.
- Provide support to engineering in training personnel for new products or changes to existing ones.
- Assist in audits by providing training-related information.
- And any other functions as directed by my management as part of the role.
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office. Excel and Word intermediate mainly.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret changes in documents, such as, job travelers, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Ability to gather relevant data, establish facts and find solution through actions.
- Effective time management/organization skills, applied in a pressured environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills and proficiency in interacting with culturally diverse employee population.
- Knowledge of problem-solving tools (5 whys, is/is not, Ishikawa, etc.).
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Microscope usage
- Proficiency in good documentation practices
- General office equipment operation Use of safety equipment.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What your background should look like
Experience:
- +4 year of experience in production processes or medical industry in functions related to Training or similar.
- Technical course in quality or related (or with 50 % of the technical degree completed.
- Personnel management.
- Experience as a trainer.
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency in Office software (Microsoft Office).
- Language: Bilingual English (Basic)/ Spanish.
- Trainer of trainers (desirable)
