Job Requirements

  • Performing quality reviews and internal audits; evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards; identifying potential systematic solutions based on deviations.
  • Monitoring product life cycle processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practices; participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product; providing improvement recommendations based on data.
  • Collaborating with Quality & Reliability Engineers in project deliverables; owning and accomplishing standard projects with complex customers.

A Quality & Reliability Technician uses their technical skills to assist in issues related to the Quality of the product. This job also involves leveraging technical skills to resolve issues related to the product to meet quality goals.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Coordination of material inspection priorities across two shifts.
  • Manage and investigate Non-Conformance (NC) for nonconforming material.
  • Reduce the backlog of received materials.
  • Management of the Material Review Board (MRB).
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) evaluation.
  • Investigation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in tasks assigned by the Quality Manager related to the Quality Management System.
  • Support internal audits and management review processes.
  • Must be able to support departments such as Document Control, Training, Calibration, Production, Environmental Monitoring, Pest Control, and Purchasing.  

 

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge - NCMRs/CARs.
  • Skills- Working under pressure.
  • Abilities- Comprehension and understanding of information and ideas.
  • Language: Bilingual English (Intermediate)
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office. Excel and Word intermediate mainly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret changes in documents, such as, job travelers, sketches, diagrams, blueprints and other procedures.
  • Proficient in geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios and measurements.
  • Ability to gather relevant data, establish facts and find solution through actions. Problem solving.
  • Effective time management/organization skills, applied in a pressured environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and proficiency in interacting with culturally diverse employee population.

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • +3 year of experience in a Quality Technician IV position or minimum 6 months internship in the medical industry in functions related to Quality. Quality leadership experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or University Diploma (or with + 50 % of the bachelor's degree completed).
  • Professional Training & Certifications: ISO 13485 auditor accreditation is desirable.
