Job Overview
What your background should look like:
The Production Supervisor is the one who leads the production team of their manufacturing line to comply with operational indicators, with special emphasis on Output and Human Talent, ensuring the compliance of the company's procedures and policies. Maintains -and sustains- a close relationship with the members of the Core Team and other support departments such as EHS, Facilities, Maintenance, Human Resources, Purchasing, Planning, etc.
Nature and Overall Purpose of the Role
• Rotate staff from their workstations according to guidelines agreed in conjunction with EHS.
• Per the Quality System, must follow the guidelines, procedures and policies of the company and the Production/Operations department.
• Replace other Production Supervisors, in case of support (Back-up).
• Evaluate production operation stations to ensure they can meet production goals.
• Availability to provide support on other shifts when required.
• Be the point of contact between operational employees and management to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed.
• Create production plans together with the Planning department.
• Generate and execute a consistent cross-training program for the Production Operators under your charge that allows you to cover absences and rotate personnel.
• Reading and understanding blueprints and other technical documents.
• Follow the instructions and pre-established guidelines in the manufacturing procedures (MPIs).
Responsibility Includes the Following Tasks
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and appropriate clothing for your work area (hair net, gowning, safety glasses, etc.).
- Follow the security guidelines established in the company's procedures and/or policies.
- Promote the use and participation of EH&S programs such as AseguraTE, Great Catch, etc. – KPI (Key Performance Indicator).
- Perform reports and investigations of near misses, and accidents involving manufacturing line personnel.
- Participate in safety meetings.
- Perform stretches and micro stretches established in the company's procedures and/or policies.
- Zero security incidents (due to Operational Negligence) – KPI (Key Performance Indicator).
- Adhere 100% to the work instructions established in the procedures of the working – KPI.
