We are seeking a seasoned technical leader for our global Field Applications Engineering (FAE) team.

This role will provide technical leadership and guidance to the FAE team focused on design win strategies for customer opportunities, analyze customer needs, and compare and contrast TE Sensors (TES) and competitive solutions in order to maximize the customer's use of our solutions.   Also, this person will perform technical program leadership and coordination with sales leaders, account managers, product managers, program managers and engineering to reduce program risks and accelerate production schedule on major customer projects. Engage with customer engineering and help bring a cohesive plan and resource coordination to ensure successful completion of our focus customer’s project.

Regional FAE Managers will sold-line report to the Global FAE Director and dotted-line to the Regional Sales Directors. Each FAE manager will have a team of FAEs with technical and industry expertise throughout the geography of their region.


The position will lead a team of FAE to:

  • Lead and foster growth, development, and success of our FAE organization.
  • Strategically deploy FAEs based on needs of their customer base, balancing skillset, industry awareness and regional logistics.
  • Provide technical guidance and assure training on TE Sensors new products as well as our technical value proposition.  
  • Collect inputs and provide technical requirement and specific advance product needs to Product Management and Engineering team. 
  • Work with customer engineering system architects and managers to map their application into TE Sensor products and solutions with optimal use of silicon, tools, IP and SW features in order to acceleration customer product development cycle
  • Perform product technical presentations, technical proposals, demonstrations or reference designs to customer engineering groups highlighting our features and advantages over the competitions
  • Perform architecture/design/implementation reviews with FAE team and customer engineers to reduce production risk and accelerate the development cycle.
  • Foster and help develop a technical marketing, training, and support plan for FAE teams
  • Collaborate with business units to develop "go to market" technical strategies aligned with our focus applications
  • Collaborate with regional sales leaders to drive a cohesive technical and commercial sales strategy so that we achieve our goals of bringing design wins to revenue and support with strategic end customer visits
  • Provide technical solution creation (e.g.: hardware, software demonstrations, example designs) and guide customers through their design process. Manage customer projects that span multiple regions/countries. Provide customer support and solve real time problems.



  • 10+ year work experience
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Global leadership experience. This individual will have successfully led a sizeable team to success, preferably multi-layered.
  • Knowledge of and experience in major markets
  • Ability to manage and interact with all types of individuals.
  • Existing relationships and ability to interface with senior level management
  • Ability to build influential relationships.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Had technical leadership role with project technical management experience
  • Lead customer facing design win engagement team experience
  • Able to work independently and excel in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication and written skills and solid customer engagement and support experience in technology industry – semiconductor or Sensors/Sensor system experience preferred.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and can handling difficult conversations in a professional manner during customer meetings
  • Can perform complex work involving a wide range of difficult problems. Exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making ability to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to these problems
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

Throughout our Global reach and various Business Units, we take a balanced approach to the benefits we provide. Many benefits are company-paid, while others are available through associate contribution. Specific benefit offerings can vary by location.

•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $183,800 – $275,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
•    A comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), disability, life insurance, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off and voluntary benefits.
