REGIONAL LOGISTICS MANAGER

JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for managing and optimizing all inbound raw material and outbound finished goods transportation, optimized warehousing operations and offsite storage solutions for the EMEA region in TE Energy BU. Oversee domestic and international lanes and ensure they are managed in compliance with corporate logistics, trade compliance and TE guidelines. 

The role involves driving continuous improvement projects involving cross-functional teams to enhance inventory accuracy, optimize inventory and warehouse efficiency, improve space management, reduce costs via offsite storage solutions, and ensure compliant freight services. These efforts are aimed at bolstering the profitability of the Energy BU.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Oversee local logistics teams, managing dispatch, routing, and tracking for all inbound and outbound activities.
  • Ensure flawless warehouse operations, optimizing material handling, receiving, put away, replenishment, and shipments to enhance customer satisfaction and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support logistics teams with daily tasks such as import/export, pick-up arrangements, and tracking.
  • Improve processes to drive efficiency, profitability, and compliance with financial and trade regulations.
  • Develop sustainable processes for inbound and outbound forecasting to facilitate accurate financial planning.
  • Foster relationships with corporate transportation teams and manage logistics KPIs.
  • Assess and develop team members while implementing standard work instructions for streamlined operations.
  • Ensure the team operates in a safe, compliant environment and conduct audits for continuous improvement.
  • Lead kaizen projects and optimize warehouse operations through strategic initiatives.
  • Optimize material flow at manufacturing sites, rationalize warehouse space, and improve replenishment efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Planning, and Production teams to optimize warehousing and transportation practices.
  • Utilize lean management tools to enhance performance metrics.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or foreign equivalent). 
  • Fluent in English.
  • 5-10 years in Customs & Logistics management roles.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, including Business Administration, Human Capital Development, Resource Optimization, and Strategic Integration.
  • Effective collaboration with planning, production, quality, engineering, sales, product management, and operations.
  • Proficiency in working and influencing in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP and hazmat regulations.
  • Understanding of key performance metrics and local supply chain security programs.
  • Proven change agent with excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Strong team player with initiative.
