Value Stream Manager

Job Overview

  • Will act as a Mini Plant Manager and have complete control of his/her Value Stream from raw material / components to final product. The Value Stream includes people, assets, technology, processes, input/outputs, materials and all the value-adding activities related to a product line within the Plant;
  • Will directly supervise the Value Stream Team Leaders and Operators in their daily activities;
  • Will coordinate and drive initiatives within the functional team in the Value Stream to achieve the Value Stream KPI objectives in quality, delivery and costs;
  • Will coordinates with the functional  departments on needed capacity and priorities to achieve the Value Stream goals;
  • Will be responsible for leading the daily/weekly meetings in the Value Stream and employ problem solving methodology to determine root cause and develop countermeasures for misses to daily/weekly targets;
  • Responsible for the evaluation, implementation and coordination of the Continuous Improvement and TEOA tools within the assigned Value Stream to eliminate waste and achieve the assigned targets;
  • Integrate previously unconnected processes (departments) into one interconnected Value Stream, as seen from the customer’s perspective.
  • Drive execution; foster the adoption of continuous improvement; create a culture of change;
  • Work with internal/external suppliers/customers on improving the total enterprise (extended VSM) using TEOA management system;
  • Build strong communication and positive working relationships with all functional areas across the company;

What your background should look like:

  • Engineering Degree or an equivalent qualification with relevant working experience;
  • Experience in Injection Molding and ideally in EPDM, including SMED, Lean manufacturing and TPM;
  • Must have prior supervisory experience in a high-complexity manufacturing environment;
  • Team Leadership: ability to lead associates through coaching and mentoring;
  • Must be certified TEOA/LEAN tools or willing to acquire within the first year;
  • Highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change;
  • Can communicate with all levels to get everyone on board;
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, utilize process and Value Stream mapping, draw valid conclusions;
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively;
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently lead cross functionally as well as with suppliers and customers;
  • Fluent in English and Polish. Ukrainian is a plus;
