Supervisor Incoming Quality Assurance
Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of team of IQI and IQE for the related plant incl team performance and development responsibility
- Managing IQI work schedules
- Ensuring that all materials have a valid inspection plan in ERP system
- Setup and maintain QIP (Quality Inspection Plans) based upon the relevant specifications and drawings
- Ensure that documentations is understood by local teams of Controllers, e.g. by raising Quality Alerts, Failure Catalogues into local language
- Ensure availability of necessary equipment for incoming inspection area to perform required measurements/tests (e.g. gauges, calipers, testers,…).
- Basic maintenance and care for all measuring equipment, fixture, gages and test equipment, making sure the calibration is valid at all times of use.
- Ensures competencies of Team by appropriate training e.g. for dealing with measurement equipment and performing necessary inspections
- Management of Interplant complaint process including Material Return Processes in SAP
- Supports inspection of incoming goods according defined QIP and relevant specifications (visual inspection, gages, measurements, testing, etc.) when needed
- Ensures storing and availability of Certificate of Compliance records for incoming material.
- Communicates to relevant functions (Production, IQE, Logistics, PM, etc.) to help inspectors and IQE in case of unclear requirements.
- Responsible Quality contact for blocked stock review including regular review with other departments.
- Responsible Quality contact for scrap approval referring Incoming Inspection
- Assist IQI / IQE / SQE / ASQE / STE in quality evaluation and other work-related requests.
- Responsible for Incoming Quality Assurance reporting needs, e.g. Scrap, Blocked Stock, Quality Notifications, Inspections
What your background should look like:
- At least 4 years of experience within related industry
- Leadership experience in manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing and Problem-Solving tools expertise
- Handling of non-conforming material
- Incoming inspection Process and robust containment actions
- Demonstrated skills in driving actions for containing quality spills, coordinating suppliers, Third party companies, and production internal quality and materials teams
- Working knowledge in production environment.
- Ability to work with a multifunctional team.
- Thorough knowledge of Problem-Solving tools (8D at the minimum)
- Knowledge using process improvement techniques and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean) and tools (e.g., 8D, SPC, Capability Analysis, MSA, and FMEA, CP, PPAP, Safe Launch, CSL).
- Software, SAP and MS Office: Word, Excel; Power Point.
- Basic knowledge in statistical software such as Minitab
- Advanced Knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and reading technical drawings
- Experience handling measurement equipment, and performing measurements
- Assertive communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge on ISO9001
