Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

 

Responsibilities:

• Will act as a Mini Plant Manager and have complete control of his/her Value Stream from raw material / components to final product. The Value Stream includes people, assets, technology, processes, input/outputs, materials and all the value-adding activities related to a product line within the Plant
• Will directly supervise the Value Stream Team Leaders and Operators
• Will coordinate and drive initiatives to achieve the Value Stream KPI objectives in quality, delivery and costs
• Will coordinates with the functional  departments on needed capacity and priorities to achieve the Value Stream goals
• Will be responsible for leading the daily/weekly meetings in the Value Stream and employ problem solving methodology to determine root cause and develop countermeasures for misses to daily/weekly targets
• Responsible for the evaluation, implementation and coordination of the Continuous Improvement
• Integrate previously unconnected processes (departments) into one interconnected Value Stream
• Drive execution; foster the adoption of continuous improvement; create a culture of change
• Build strong communication and positive working relationships with all functional areas across the company

What your background should look like:
  • Engineering Degree or an equivalent qualification with relevant working experience
  • Must have prior supervisory experience in a high-complexity manufacturing environment
  • Team Leadership: ability to lead associates through coaching and mentoring
  • Must be certified LEAN tools or willing to acquire within the first year
  • Highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change
  • Can communicate with all levels to get everyone on board
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, utilize process and Value Stream mapping, draw valid conclusions
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently lead cross-functionally as well as with suppliers and customers
  • Fluent in English and Polish. Ukrainian is a plus

Extra Requirements for EPDM:

• Experience in Injection Molding and ideally in EPDM, including SMED, Lean manufacturing and TPM
