We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of both machined and 3D printed (FDM) parts, as well as analyzing current processes to identify potential improvements. This role involves designing simple assemblies down to the part level, sourcing vendors, ordering parts, and overseeing the assembly and testing of prototypes. The candidate will collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality departments and must be adept at understanding and addressing issues and requests communicated via Teams calls. As the sole designer, the candidate will work independently and have the opportunity to develop expertise in tool (mold) design capabilities.

Your main tasks:

  • Design and develop both machined and 3D printed (FDM) parts.
  • Analyze current processes and identify potential improvements.
  • Design simple assemblies down to the part level.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality departments.
  • Source and liaise with vendors for part procurement.
  • Order parts, oversee assembly, and conduct testing of prototypes.
  • Understand and address issues and requests communicated via Teams calls.
  • Ensure designs meet stringent quality and performance standards.
  • Work independently as the sole designer within the team.
  • Develop skills in tool (mold) design capabilities.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, with a preference for experience in the Polish market.
  • Proficiency in CAD software CREO and PDM Link data repository
  • Experience with machined part manufacturing and 3D printing in FDM technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills in both English and Polish.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Experience in creation and reading 2D documentation.
  • Knowledge of 3D printer’s setup, operating and servicing will be and added value
