Why you should join:

Core responsibility of the Incoming Quality Engineer is to ensure Quality on purchase components, supporting Manufacturing plants, by implementing a robust containment action in the entire supply chain and start escalation if applicable, using his / her knowledge on problem solving methodologies and technical expertise on the specific materials categories (Electronics & Mechatronics, Stamping, Injection Molding) working in close collaboration with suppliers and TE plant quality teammates.

Your main tasks:

  • Development and improvement of component inspection methods
  • Analysis of component defects
  • Support for quality controllers in solving ongoing quality issues
  • Management of non-conforming material, including blocking, initiating corrective (including sorting), corrective, and preventive actions
  • Creation/maintenance of control and inspection plans, including in the ERP system
  • Participation in testing and implementation of new products (NPI, PPAP)
  • Communication with suppliers and relevant organizational functions in case of unclear requirements
  • Management of complaints to suppliers and between plants, including material return processes
  • Cooperation with suppliers in verifying implemented corrective actions and measurement methods
  • Creation and updating of documentation – reports, instructions, defect catalogs, etc.
  • Specification of tools and equipment required for incoming inspection
  • Training employees, e.g., in the use of inspection and measurement equipment and conducting necessary inspections

What your background should look like:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a related industry
  • Knowledge of GD&T and ability to work with technical drawings
  • Experience working with inspection and measurement equipment, e.g., measuring microscope, caliper, depth gauge, height gauge
  • Familiarity with process improvement techniques and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean) and tools (e.g., 8D, SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP)
  • English language proficiency sufficient for fluent communication

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Knowledge of materials science related to plastics and/or metallurgy
