Import and Trade Compliance Senior Specialist

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Traffic Administration Teams are responsible for the coordination and consolidation of domestic and international systems to support shipments. They ensure the lowest cost transportation is used by analysing company and customer needs, researching transportation methods, and auditing carrier costs and performance. They also interpret laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.


  • Confirming correctness of customs classification carried out by other organizational units
  • Conducting the process of legalizing commercial documentation and working with letters of credit,
  • Preparing an annual plan of container transport (in import)
  • Caring for compliance with procedures and instructions in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard
  • Handling customers’ complaints regarding completed shipments
  • Determining the country of origin of products, updating data as well as conducting imports and exports and their corrections in cooperation with the customs agency and co-workers
  • Detecting possible delays in import/export processes and division according to established priorities
  • Application, supervision and clearance of permits and customs procedures togerther with maintaining and archiving commercial and customs documentation,
  • Participating in Kaizens, TEOA and other improvement programs and activities as well as in trainings, briefings and industry meetings,
  • Maintenancing and monitoring KPIs by using reports and appropriate tools
  • Supporting for SAP, Assist, Trade Automation, MIC
  • Close cooperation with other departments in the company

What your background should look like:

  • Education background in the field of customs law
  • At least 4 years of experience on a similar position in a production company
  • Very good English knowledge (at least B2 level)
  • Experience in leading small teams (from 4 to 10 people)
  • Practical knowledge of pricing goods, free trade agreements, determination of the country of origin
  • Familiarity with material flows and the supply chain
  • Very good knowledge o MS Office, experience in handling ERP and SAP systems
