As Quality Compliance Engineer, you will liaise with auditing organisations, notifying bodies & regulatory authorities as required, & manage all internal audits. You will oversee the implementation of global procedures, address gaps & report performance measures to support quality improvements & compliance. Additionally you will provide expertise & guidance to ensure manufacturing aligns with regulatory requirements & site procedures.
Your new role:
- Represent, support, maintain & oversee all aspects of the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Ensure awareness of compliance with regulatory certifications, TE Global QMS & customer requirements.
- Manage & complete the internal audit programme, ensuring timely identification & effective closure of Non-Conformances & Opportunities for Improvement.
- Manage all internal, 3rd-party & customer audits & certifications, including follow-up to close observations, improvements & corrective/preventive actions for major & minor non-conformances.
- Where required/requested, manage or support the Value Stream Quality Engineer during customer quality site visits.
- Continuously review & update QMS documentation to ensure policies, procedures & objectives remain current & aligned with standards & regulations.
- Support the roll-out of global procedures to standardise processes & standards on site.
- Report compliance-related Quality KBMs (KPIs) at the required frequency.
- Manage & maintain office 5S activities & visual management.
- Effectively manage own workload & prioritise tasks based on production requirements & business impacts to the QMS.
- Work under flexible schedules, including extended hours when required.
- Carry out any other reasonable request by management.
- Understand site EH&S policies & procedures & work safely at all times, following health & safety guidelines.
Your ideal background:
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100 or IATF16949 or similar international standard with experience in conducting quality system audits (internal &/or external)
- Experience in a manufacturing plant environment in a Quality or Engineering role gained in an aerospace, military or automotive environment applicable to auditing.
- Experience of quality planning plus implementation of quality tools (NCR’s, Histogram, Pareto, PFMEA, Controls plans)
- Organised with high degree of motivation and self-initiative, managing multiple tasks, and can adapt to changing priorities, accomplishing them in a timely manner
