Job Title: Quality and Reliability Technician – Swindon 

Shift Monday - Thursday 10pm - 6am and Friday 6pm - 12.00 midnight

 

 

Job Overview

We are seeking an engaged and driven Quality and Reliability Technician to join our Quality team, supporting Wire and Cable Operations. The person will be able to work as both part of a Team and independently to complete Quality inspection of products and control their customer release. This role comes with opportunity to progress within the local Career Progression Framework. It also comes at a time where the Department is undergoing exciting change and investment.

 

 

Job Responsibilities
-    Carry out a wide variety of Mechanical, Electrical and Fibre Optic Testing on Wire and Cable products, with the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures
-    Be able to manage own workload and prioritise based on Production requirements
-    Be able to interpret and work to technical documents including Manufacturing Specifications, Product Drawings and Test Reports 
-    Carry out Lean Activities including Kaizen when required.
-    Understand the site EH&S Policies and Procedures, and work in a safe manner at all times 
-    Carry out any other reasonable request

 

 

Key Requirements
-    High attention to detail 
-    Previous experience working in a Quality or Technical position
-    Excellent numeracy and communication skills 
-    Strong PC skills with aptitude to learn new systems and Laboratory equipment
-    Be able to demonstrate behaviours in line with TE Values and Ethical Conduct
