At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.

Job Overview

Location: Swindon

Position Summary: The scope of this role is to service and repair production equipment as directed by the Maintenance Lead.

Shift: 36 hours; Sat, Sun, Mon 6.00 am-18.00
Competitive salary + shift allowance

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Technician to join our Maintenance Team, predominantly supporting our Wire and Cable Manufacturing Facility as part of a dedicated team with Electrical and Mechanical skill sets. The Maintenance Team is a vital part of our Production Facility, ensuring that the equipment is serviced to schedule and breakdowns are resolved quickly. This facility manufactures wires and cables from raw conductors and we use Extrusion, Twisting, Wrapping, Spooling, Braiding, Marking, Packing and Radiation Beam equipment to make custom cables. You will need to react to unscheduled problems with equipment and be able to diagnose complex electrical or mechanical faults with minimal support. You may also need to move from one machine to another and back again where production priorities dictate. The successful candidate will need to support, coach and mentor our apprentices and help them gain the experience they need for their courses. Following a training period, you will be expected to work independently, with minimal supervision.
