Lean / Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement manager designs and implement transformational plans using the different lean tools to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost, they coach teams; establish program performance metrics, and establish process excellence supports. This role is responsible for leading and guidance of Continuous improvements activities to deploy projects within the Swindon plants. The Continuous Improvement Manager will also set the strategy and plan for the achievement the different goals of the organization, and the development of skills and tools deployment across the sites.

Job Responsibilities
•    Kaizen facilitation and training 
•    Development of EMEA TEOA (Continuous improvement) deployment plans consistent with business unit strategic and operational planning
•    Support and mentor site based lean practitioners to enable them to succeed in the TEOA (Continuous improvement) deployment
•    Identification and organization of resources required to achieve successful implementation in accordance with plan 
•    Coordination of initiatives to achieve consistency and standardization across plants
•    Manage and control individual project teams and deployment plans across all sites. 
•    Develop skill levels of practitioners and other site personnel to implement and sustain TEOA (Continuous improvement)
•    Monitor progress against plans and achievement of continuous improvement and progression to higher star assessment levels at site levels 
•    Monitor and report site-level measurements and performance to star assessment levels
•    Create a benchmark facility within Swindon
•    Deliver an extraordinary customer experience
•    Drive project savings pipeline 


What your background should look like:

•    Solid experience in operations/manufacturing  
•    Extensive knowledge and proven experience in implementing lean tools and management on an enterprise or business unit level in a large, multi-unit operation. 
•    Strong project management skills and proven experience. 
•    Ability to collaborate with other people and organizations and use influencing skills to achieve goals and objectives. 
•    Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels of the organization. 
•    Team player with the ability to establish and build consensus while ensuring decisiveness and quality of decisions. 
•    Analytical, detail-oriented, data-driven style of decision making.
•    Highly motivated, results-oriented, driven.
