Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer - Swindon



Job Overview

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer you will report to the Manufacturing and Quality Engineering Manager, this exciting role will give the ideal candidate a fantastic opportunity to create significant positive change within an established Materials and Wires and Cable Manufacturing facility. This role also comes with scope to potentially develop and progress within the role and organisation. 



Job Responsibilities

-    Ability to work closely with different functions and review business data and KPIs to derive Continuous Improvement Actions Plans. 
-    Create Projects Plans and identifying resource requirements to complete them in a timely and effective manner whilst implementing relevant CI tools. 
-    Provide demonstratable benefits to overall Operational Productivity through improvements of processes, products, and/or behaviours. 
-    Improvement of OEE to increase plant capacity and efficiency
-    Ownership of Continuous Improvement tools from implementation, training of users, through to tracking usage and effectiveness.  
-    Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels, from shop floor to Senior Management Team
-    Manage and report Performance to internal Star Assessment Levels, with aim to drive the site to become a flagship for the business.  
-    Working closely with other sites to ensure standardization and implementation of best practices locally. 
-    Develop and Implement Standard Work



Key Requirements

-    The ideal candidate will hold previous experience within a continuous improvement position. 
-    Proven previous experience in Operations, Manufacturing or Engineering with Project Management skills being advantageous. 
-    Strong Analytical Skills, with ability to make data-driven decisions, with Six Sigma Qualifications being advantageous. 
-    Highly self-motivated, pro-active and results orientated, capable of working both independently and as part of a team. 
-    Knowledge and proven experience in implementing lean tools, including Value Stream Maps and Facilitation and Training of KAIZEN at all levels. 
-    Excellent communication and coaching skills across the organisation
-    Ability to collaborate, lead and influence to achieve desired results
-    A hands on practical approach when required
