Job Overview
To set, operate and maintain 5 Axis CNC milling machines (x2) on a permanent night shift pattern, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality precision components in line with engineering specifications. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with the production team to meet performance and delivery targets.
Job Requirements
• To observe and operate in accordance with Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees, workers and visitors
• To produce works to a high, expected TE Quality standard. Any Quality issues to be notified to Supervisor • Implement a customer focussed operational culture
• To ensure all required maintenance is carried out in accordance to TPM plan.
What your background should look like
- Good general education required with numeracy and perception essential with a proven Engineering machining bias
- Working in a Production environment with deadlines
- Understanding of Machine Tools and CNC milling Machines
- Experience in the machining and finishing / deburring of aluminium components
- Experience in the use of standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier callipers, plug gauges etc
- Ability to read and follow engineering assembly drawings, work instructions and quality standards.
- Experience of working within an ISO9001 Quality Management System environment.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills, basic IT skills
- Understanding of G code programs and CNC control systems
