STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST III

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably engineering background with mechanical or Electronic.
>8 years procurement experience or related functions, manufacturing environment is a plus, medical industry related preferred.    
Fluent in English is a must.
Good communication skills, integrity, accountability

Responsibility:

Implement sourcing strategy for responsible commodities, drive material productivity.
Select, Qualify and Manage suppliers to build solid supplier base per strategy.
NPI/Migration projects support with right source (quality, cost, service) for business grow needs from kickoff to mass production.
Drive VAVE Projects cross functionally.
Drive material localization effort to achieve cost reduction and delivery service flexibility.
Supplier quality improvement together with SQE to achieve DLPM target.
Be the representative to resolve the critical supplier issues
Mainly be responsible for procurement activities of Medical Suzhou business, also support other medical sites globally.
Any other work assigned by manager.
