Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

-    Manage BOM cost by resourcing/localization activity driven.
-    Maintain an updated MTS and Risk assessment sheet.
-    Lead and attend SD meeting and pass through SD result to CTL.
-    Make sure that relevant supplier, commodity and purchasing information is documented as required for every purchased part in each project Sheet.
-    Involve commodity buyer for new business quotation 
-    Monitor purchasing required information (e.g. supplier master data, component price, tooling) in system.
-    Responsible for advanced purchasing deliverables.
-    Well known about Lean PD& Procurement specification process & demand.
-    Clear understanding demand from each function, be good at balance on benefits conflict.
-    Finalized annual advanced procurement strategy for each individual production line

-    Develop and execute advanced procurement strategy for the assigned production line in China to meet business objectives
-    Lead and execute RFQ quoting effectively with quick response and competitive unit price to support project business
-    Attend SD meeting with CFT leader based on Cost, Delivery, engineer capability and Quality input
-    Drive Supplier Base improvement and optimization in LCC location
-    in assigned NPD programs to assure readiness for sample building and production ramp up and ensure all project KPI index.
-    Work to formulate advanced procurement strategy and organize workshop and seminar with internal and external resource. Control project risk by check strictly MTS and risk assessment form.

Qualifications

-    Bachelor degree must, major in engineering is preferred
-    CPSM or same lever certification is preferred
-    Vehicle industry project management certification is preferred
-    Minimum4- 6 years’ experience as purchasing function in an industrial environment or 2 years in automotive industry
-    More than 4 years project procurement management experience
-    Results oriented with strong written and oral communications skills
-    Ability to work in a matrixes organization
-    Good logic and strategic thinking
-    General knowledge of the supply chain
-    Good English skill both in written and oral
-    BOM cost saving by target driven
-    Cost breakdown structure knowledge
-    Engineering/tech drawing understanding
-    Communication, negotiation and organization skills
-    Project management skills
-    APQP & PPAP process knowledge
