Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP’s) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.

 Position Overview 
Manufacturing process development, and process improvement in term of product quality, productivity and product cost. Support new product introduction, daily monitor production lines in manufacturing site. Lead or co-operate with other functional team to investigate and resolve product quality issue. With manufacturing engineering skills develop innovative solutions, quickly troubleshoot and correct day-to-day operational problems. Ensure all critical product design issues are identified and resolved. Stay on the top of manufacturing technology and processes in the industry to meet the needs of company’s fast growth
 Responsibilities & Qualifications Responsibilities: 
1: Cooperate with the project and sales to complete the quotation evaluation of the product in prophase. 
2: Responsible for the development and customization of new process, new equipment and new tooling required by new products and release to mass production line equipment. 
3: Responsible for process concept and process design review of new products. 
4: Technical upgrading and continuous improvement of existing equipment and tooling. 
5: Driving the process realization and process performance (C/T Scape rate OEE) to meet target. 
6: Provide solutions for the improvement of process problems and equipment problems of pre-production samples. 
7: Prepare flow chart, PFMEA and WI for new products and train production line operator. 
8: Cooperate with the quality department to complete the customer's quality complaint and problem improvement. 
9: Complete other tasks assigned by superior leaders or the company. 
•    Qualifications: 
1. Diploma or Degree or above in Mechanical / Production Engineering/Mechatronics/Automation 
2. 5+ years relevant working experience in a Manufacturing environment 
3.3+ years’ experience in design of Automated Assembly Machine 
4. Good knowledge in tool making, tool-steel application / selection and heat treatment process 
5. Preferred with experience in Vision Inspection, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Pneumatics, sensors, motors and other motion control devices 
6. Previous experience in connector/cable automated, system/equipment development is preferred 
7. Good team player with good communication & presentation in English and Chinese 
8. Good Project Management skill 
9. Excellent problem solving technique 
10. Good understanding on how a process capability study is conducted and able to interpret result
11. The ability to make data-driven decisions based upon statistical analyses, designed experiments and capability studies
