Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Position Overview 

This role will be responsible for overall six sigma blackbelt and process improvement. Work closely with the plant quality leaders to identify the pain area and suggest the improvement ideas. Work with quality team to get the ideas implemented and review the benefits.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

•    Use six sigma tools to drive major problem improvement as project leader.
•    Design and conduct problem solving related training program to develop quality talent pool
•    As coach to do the six sigma training and internal qualification, lead quality engineers to perform the six sigma project. Ensure that improvements are followed up properly.
•    Lead process / product entitlement study to identify big impact quality improvement opportunities during mass production and NPD phase.
•    Promote continuance improvement culture through professional problem- solving tools to reduce quality cost and pursue 0PPM. In this process utilizing formal quality improvement methodologies and become a standard procedure.

More than 7 years of working experience, and 2 years at least in manager roles, automotive experience must be

Technical Skill & Competencies
1.    Solid knowledge on Automotive standards and regulations;
2.    Good communication skill, integrity, accountability, logical, self-motivated, ability to work under pressure.
3.    Good leadership skills including ability to motivate and create commitment
4.    6 sigma black belt certification by CAQ or ASQ. Familiar with the six sigma knowledge, such as FMEA, process map, SOP, statistics and etc. 
5.    Completed 6 sigma Master Black belt training and lead 10+ green or black 
belt projects. 
6.    Fluent in oral English.
