Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s IT Operations Teams support hardware installation and configuration and ongoing maintenance of the computer/data center. They monitor batch schedules and take actions as necessary in response to schedule problems or abnormal program terminations and manage tape backups, including physical tape handling; coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot employee issues with personal computers and related systems; provide support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. TE’s IT Operations Teams provide timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel. They develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support. At times they may monitor and troubleshoot equipment and assist with logging and documentation, cabling, racking, and server installations.

 

Job Summary:  

Responsible for onsite support of Auto Suzhou Nantong plant with IT needs in the following areas; 

The role will work primarily with desktop support on a day to day basis with focus on supporting onsite customers but must also be able to diagnose and provide solutions to problems that arise off Suzhou plant including domestic and remote users. 

He/she must be able to participate in projects supporting both the individual’s and the group IT’s TEIS goals. Operational duties include but not limited to, new hirer PC setups, IT asset management and life cycle tracking, performing technical troubleshooting, desktop and application systems support, monitoring the daily operation of all servers and network operation. He/she is also required to assist the CoE teams on supporting Digital Factory, Payroll and else application.

Primary Responsibilities:  

    Provide technical support of installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware (computer, printer, phone, etc.) and software, maintain high level of service, efficiency and response possible.
    Install and maintain all workstation, IP telephone; Monitor the daily operation of all servers and network operation, monitor computer rooms including daily management and emergency handling such as UPS; Provide technical support to all client; In order to guarantee the normal operation of all devices.
    Support manufacturing and warehouse client to install and maintain IPC, RF scanners, label printers, wireless APs and do the trouble shooting for any related issues.  Provide support for the RF related servers partially. Understand the bartender label printing and RF guns’ connection process.
    Provide infrastructure support for Digital Factory project roll-out, coordinate 1st level trouble-shooting, and work closely with plant TEOA team on the DF roadmap.
    Maintain individual queue with Helpdesk service application for managing and resolving tickets within the required SLA.
    Manage IT Asset. Actively manage IT assets lifecycle via the standard Asset Management tool and process.
    Provide End user IT training.
    Performs other relevant duties as assigned by IT Manager.


Competencies & Experience Required/Desired:  

•    3+ years’ experience troubleshooting computer networks, hardware and software
•    Working knowledge of Windows server active directory and user account management
•    Rich experience for IT operation in manufactory and logistic warehouse.
•    Excellent Windows OS troubleshooting skills
•    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office365 applications.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Excellent customer service skills
•    Digital, iMac, mobility device knowledge a plus
•    Multilingual skills a plus
•    The selected candidate must be self-motivated and has the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment as well as the ability to work independently with minimal direction.


Qualification Required/Desired:  

•    Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
•    MSCE/MCP/CCNA/ITIL/PMP certificate preferred.
