Position Overview

As the SAP Lead Subject Matter Expert for Supply Chain, you will optimize supply chain operations through the strategic management, enhancement, and innovation of SAP systems. You will represent DDN Operations and Supply Chain to support the successful implementation and ongoing management of SAP S/4HANA solutions across DDN operations.
This role is critical to ensure that the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system aligns with business objectives and operational requirements. Responsibilities include active participation in process reviews and audits, change management, testing, and test coordination.

Roles & Responsibilities:

•    Administer, manage, and monitor SAP supply chain systems.
•    Oversee the configuration and customization of SAP ECC or S/4HANA to meet business requirements.
•    Analyze and re-engineer business processes to leverage SAP ECC or S/4HANA capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen process controls. Develop organizational change management materials for the assigned function on behalf of the business unit or segment.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Sourcing, and other business units to gather requirements and ensure that the system meets organizational needs.
•    Support and lead SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring of timelines, budgets, and resources. Ensure effective communication of project progress.
•    Define, execute, and support business process and user acceptance testing (UAT) for global operations and local functions.
•    Develop and support training for changes introduced through enterprise systems.
•    Ensure that processes are properly documented and accessible across functions.
•    Ensure seamless integration of SAP supply chain modules with other business processes and systems.
•    Assist with and coordinate data-cleansing activities when required.
•    Identify, document, and support the resolution of project issues and gaps.
•    Coordinate testing activities with assigned resources and local or site-specific teams.
•    Perform and coordinate global data validation and sign-off.
•    Support go-live, final implementation, and hypercare activities.
•    Manage the transition to SAP S/4HANA by developing change strategies, training users, and driving adoption.
•    Lead the SME community and help build skills and capabilities across the organization.
•    Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of SAP ECC or S/4HANA implementations and identify improvement opportunities.
•    Oversee ongoing maintenance and support for SAP S/4HANA, including issue resolution and system updates.
•    Use SAP S/4HANA reporting and analytics capabilities to generate insights that support business decisions.
•    Coach and train sub-team members.
•    Support transformation projects related to enterprise systems.

Mandate Skills:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
•    At least 8 years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations.
•    Strong working knowledge of SAP, including MM, SD, BOM, master data, and reporting.
•    Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
•    Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and regions.

Preferred Experience & Skills

•    Extensive hands-on knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, with recognition as a subject matter expert or super user.
•    Proficiency in SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM), ERP, S/4HANA, SAP Basis, Finance (FICO), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Warehouse Management (WM).
•    Significant experience with SAP implementations, including project management, business process engineering, and change management; SAP S/4HANA experience is preferred.
•    Experience leading organizational change management and implementing process changes.
•    Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
•    Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and establish structure as conditions evolve.
•    Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience working with offshore teams, managing multiple priorities, and applying agile methodologies.
•    Ability to make timely decisions and provide clear direction to broad, cross-functional teams.
•    Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently in a high-pressure environment.
•    Willingness to travel as required.
