Monitors the execution of key strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiates contract terms and conditions and drives sourcing strategies to maximize cost savings.
Job Requirements
Main Target Summary The main target of the Electronics Advanced Sourcing Analyst is to support the development and implementation of aligned New Product Introduction (NPI) strategic sourcing strategies enterprise wide across Electronics, Cables & PCB/PCBA. The person aligns strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, product management and NPI procurement.
Provide key input to the preferred supplier list for electronics, cables, & PCB/PCBA that ensures a technical and commercial advantage for TE. Ensure NPI sourcing from the PSL.
Align TE and preferred supplier technology roadmaps and ensure TE has a competitive, capable, and reliable supplier base to support these roadmaps.
Lead the implementation of Scope 3 sustainability efforts at the NPI stage across Electronics, Cables, and PCB/PCBA.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Provide key input and help to develop the global preferred supplier list for Electronics, Cables & PCB/PCBA, and collaborate with the global category leaders to ensure alignment
• Ensure preferred supplier alignment with BU engineering and NPI procurement teams, and ensure preferred supplier selection for all NPI programs
• Understand supplier technology roadmaps and identify new technologies that could bring a technical and/or competitive advantage to TE
• Align TE and preferred supplier technology roadmaps
• Understand TE BU technology roadmaps and ensure TE has a competitive, capable, and reliable supplier base to support these roadmaps
• Negotiate NPI component pricing and commercial terms
• Secure material availability for sample, pilot, pre-production and ramp production schedules
• Initiate and implement Scope 3 Sustainability efforts with key strategic partners in Electronics, Cables & PCB/PCBA
• Primary interface and liaison to TE Asia Pacific Business Units
• Represent procurement in Project Approval Committee meetings
• Ensure suppliers meet TE regulatory and legal requirements
• Drive multi-source options on NPI product selection
• Assist efforts to support the VA/VE pipeline

3 Requirements for a typical Job Holder / Applicant
Educational Degree Minimum Bachelors degree, preferably in engineering related course
MBA is a plus
Professional Experience (years in what processes and functions would be ideal)
At least 5 years of experience in a global electronics company in a global strategic sourcing role and/or New Product Introduction sourcing role
Broad commodity knowledge of semi-conductors, PCB, PCBA and electronic components
Experience in an engineering and/or technical field application role would be of benefit
Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
Broad knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, especially Semi-Conductors, Passive components, Cables, & PCB/PCBA
Knowledge of New Product Introduction gate stage processes
Knowledge of global electronics & cables sourcing
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continuous improvement attitude
Ability to meet demanding deadlines and task prioritization
Fluent in English both written and spoken
Other languages are a plus
Time zone flexibility and ability to travel internationally
What your background should look like
Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
