Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers, and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price, and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management, and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes, and technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services and collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain understanding, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities

  • Generate monthly scorecards and analyze the underlying data to determine factors contributing to changes in key KPIs.
  • Link TE resin prices to molded component prices, communicate price changes to BUs and suppliers, and track and report TEBITs from resin price changes.
  • Collaborate with BUs to develop long-tail supplier exit strategies, develop a database to perform RFQs, and support the execution of consolidation projects.
  • Prepopulate bid sheets and develop document packages to help perform molding RFQs on Jaggaer.
  • Work with suppliers, PE, and Quality teams to collect missing data or drawings unavailable in the TE database and collaborate with product engineers to update the missing data in TE’s database or drawings.
  • Facilitate NDA signing with new suppliers, make them aware of key TEC policies, and collaborate with BU leads to help onboard suppliers onto the supplier portal/Supply On.
  • For the strategic molding suppliers, track and report monthly the status of key contracts like MSA and VMI, as well as NDA and Audit status.
  • Perform RFIs for incumbent and potential new suppliers based on the established template and create supplier profiles from the RFI responses.
  • Establish a database of supplier profiles and share the updated database with BUs periodically.
  • Review with BUs in all regions the opportunities for commodity code correction and execute the identified corrections.
  • Manage SAP activities related to resin molding.

 

Skills, Experience and Education

  • Knowledge of resin and molding processes.
  • Proficiency in database management and RFQ processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong data mining and analysis skill set
  • Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication & presentation skills
  • Bias for action/self-starter
  • Demonstrated program management skills and ability to drive projects to completion
  • Ability to travel and work in a virtual environment
  • BA/BS in Business or other relevant discipline.
