Job Responsibilities
Software, Data & Analytics
• Lead the development of test automation frameworks using Python, C#, LabVIEW, or similar languages. Ensure test software is modular, robust, maintainable, and version controlled.
• Standardize test executive frameworks (e.g., TestStand), driver patterns, and CI/CD for test code (LabVIEW/C#/Python).
• Architect data pipelines (time-series DBs, SQL/NoSQL), dashboards, and analytics (SPC, trend detection, anomaly detection).
• Promote cybersecurity, access control, and edge-to-cloud data integrity
Hardware
• Collaborate with PCB design teams on high-speed layouts and controlled-impedance test hardware.
• Design & Develop custom test fixtures, switching matrices, load boards, interconnects, and mechanical interfaces.
• Validate signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) of test setups to ensure accurate measurements.
System Design & Governance
• Drive system design reviews, FMEA, risk assessments, and compliance (electrical safety, machine safety).
• Define test coverage strategy, sequencing, and error handling patterns; set standards for traceability, logging, versioning, and release management.
• Ensure measurement science rigor: Gage R&R, MSA, calibration traceability, SPC hooks.
• Establish technology standards, design guidelines, and best practices across test systems - Define system performance requirements, calibration strategies, measurement integrity, and scalability goals.
Leadership & Delivery
• Lead technical planning, estimation, and portfolio prioritization; mentor engineers; build upskilling programs.
• Manage cost/performance trade-offs; drive MTBF/MTTR improvements and design-for-serviceability (fixtures, quick-swap modules).
• Provide technical oversight throughout design, development, validation, and deployment. Oversee prototype builds, debugging, documentation, and manufacturing readiness. Drive design for manufacturability, scalability, reliability, and serviceability.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality/Reliability, Product Engineering, and Supplier teams to align on requirements & acceptance criteria.
