Overview / Role purpose
Serve as the technical point of contact for automotive customers regarding TE products. In addition to handling technical discussions and requirement collection, this role plays a proactive part in the early stages of projects—engaging with customers before formal requirements are defined, shaping their needs into actionable specifications, and proposing innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with development teams, provide technical insights, and contribute to concept creation that aligns with both customer expectations and company strategy.
Job Requirements
Role& Responsibility:
- Proactively engage with customers during the pre-requirement phase to identify emerging needs and translate them into clear technical specifications.
- Lead technical discussions and negotiations with customers to ensure alignment and mutual understanding.
- Deliver clear technical explanations of products and related technologies to support customer decision-making.
- Collect, clarify, and communicate customer technical requirements to internal development teams effectively.
- Propose and conceptualize technical solutions, leveraging your own ideas and expertise to address customer challenges and create value.
- Support product specification alignment and resolve technical issues across all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure early-stage concepts are technically feasible and commercially viable.
What your background should look like
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above in engineering field
- 10+ years as connector development engineer in automotive industry
- Technical knowledge related to electronic components or automotive parts.
- Experience in customer-interaction roles especially for Toyota and its tier suppliers.
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese
