The Americas Sales team for the Industrial Automation & Electrification BU has a vision of winning in the market with a passionate organization that delivers unique solutions to our Customers. We are seeking for a Field Application Engineer to help us make this vision a reality. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for closing technical sales efforts providing an extraordinary customer experience. Providing a solution to our customers’ design challenges, generating demand through design wins, and establishing strong business relationships.
Job Overview
• Work intimately with customers, often at their site, to promote TE’s portfolio and provide solutions (board connectivity, relays, filters, systems) for new and existing applications.
• Identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer’s specifications and conduct on-site Voice of Customer sessions.
• Responsible for technical aspects of sales cycle, identify opportunities, create demand, ensure timely project execution and conduct follow up on-site technical support.
• Drive brand awareness and position TE’s solutions & capabilities.
• Understand customer’s applications and engage with Engineering at an early design phase to qualify TE products.
• Work with Key Account Manager and Global Account Manager to execute strategy and a development account plan.
• Collaborate with multiple global functions within the organization, particularly with Product Managers, Engineering, Project Managers, Quality, to ensure a smoot and timely launch of new projects.
• Drive the design-in of new products and manage a seamless and speedy execution of sales and engineering projects.
• Perform an application breakdown and identify product available market.
• Provide customer with valuable support, consultancy, and advise in technical related items concerning TE products.
• Manage projects, focus on design activities, and follow through entire design activity cycle.
• Conduct product trainings, lunch & learns, tech events.
• Disciplined internal reporting of projects and other business activities through Salesforce.com

Key Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
• Engineering degree preferred
• Minimum five years of experience in or related to Sales
• An academic qualification in an engineering competence or equivalent field technical experience is a distinct advantage
• Should have had previous experience in a customer facing capacity
• Optimally have a deep and broad knowledge of TE Connectivity technology, product portfolio, and the markets they serve

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $131,500-164,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
