Job Overview
The Senior Reliability & Testing Engineer is a key technical contributor responsible for executing reliability plans, conducting reliability testing, and performing data‑driven reliability analysis across new product development programs. This role focuses on hands‑on reliability execution, supporting reliability strategies defined at the project or organizational level, and ensuring products meet reliability and customer requirements through disciplined testing and analysis.
Job Requirements
1.Hands‑on Reliability Execution Experience
- 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in reliability engineering, testing, calculating and analysis.
- Practical experience in:
- Reliability testing execution (e.g., HALT, HAST, ALT, Test‑to‑Failure)
- Reliability data collection and calculation
- Failure analysis and root cause identification
- Supporting corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ability to translate test results into clear engineering conclusions and recommendations.
2. Reliability Test Execution & Analysis
- Develop and Execute reliability test plans based on defined reliability strategies, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
- Perform:
- Accelerated life testing and stress testing
- Test‑to‑failure analysis
- Reliability calculations such as FIT, MTTF, MTBF
- Statistical analysis (e.g., Weibull analysis, chi‑square methods, basic Bayesian concepts)
- Support identification of design, material, or process weaknesses through test data.
3. Support of Reliability Strategy & NPI Activities
- Support staff‑level engineers in:
- Reliability planning and risk assessment
- Selection of appropriate test methods, conditions, and sample sizes
- Understand new product development (NPI) processes and execute reliability activities across:
- Concept verification (EVT)
- Design verification (DVT)
- Product validation (PVT)
- Pre‑production and release phases
- Ensure test execution aligns with project schedules and quality objectives.
4. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including:
- Design / R&D
- Manufacturing / Process Engineering
- Quality and Supplier Quality
- Participate in design reviews and reliability reviews by:
- Presenting test results and data analysis
- Highlighting reliability risks and observed failure modes
- Support customer interactions by providing test data, analysis, and technical explanations under guidance of senior engineers.
What your background should look like
- Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible professional level experience in manufacturing industry or Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level.
- This role requires deep expertise in reliability modeling, reliability testing, reliability calculating and failure analysis, as well as the ability to translate product characteristics and customer expectations into robust reliability strategies and validation plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
