This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Project Management Office as a Senior Project Manager, operating as an advanced individual contributor. Reporting to a Portfolio Manager, the role leads medium to large, medium to high complexity projects in a regulated product development and manufacturing environment.

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for end‑to‑end project delivery, from inception through completion, ensuring alignment to business objectives, schedule, budget, quality, and compliance requirements. The role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional, multi‑site teams and regular engagement with customers, suppliers, and senior leadership.

 This role suits an experienced project management professional with a proven ability to deliver complex, cross‑functional projects in a regulated product development or manufacturing environment. Strong stakeholder engagement, comfort working with ambiguity, and the ability to drive alignment across global teams are essential.

Your main tasks

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead medium to large projects (€1M+), managing all phases from business case development through delivery and handover
  • Own project scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across global, cross‑functional teams
  • Apply structured project management methodologies and governance frameworks to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery
  • Balance cost, schedule, quality, and risk using sound judgement and trade‑off decisions
  • Provide regular project status updates and escalate issues appropriately

Risk, Issue & Change Management

  • Lead risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and review activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Proactively manage issues and interdependencies to drive timely resolution
  • Own project change control processes, including impact assessments and approvals
  • Escalate risks and issues when required while actively supporting resolution

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts while maintaining cost and schedule control
  • Partner with Procurement to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services
  • Support business case development in collaboration with Business and Finance teams
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions where required

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as the primary owner and point of contact for assigned projects
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Lead project reviews, gate meetings, and executive briefings
  • Communicate clearly across all levels, managing expectations and resolving conflicts constructively

Cross‑Functional & Technical Collaboration

  • Lead and coordinate global, multi‑disciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
  • Support requirements definition, technical reviews, and lifecycle planning in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with applicable quality systems and regulatory requirements

Leadership & Ways of Working

  • Provide clear direction and leadership within matrix teams, fostering collaboration and accountability
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management tools, processes, and best practices
  • Coach and support project team members as appropriate

Your ideal background

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience managing medium to large, complex projects
  • Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, medical devices, industrial manufacturing, or similar
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑site, cross‑functional teams

Project Management Expertise

  • Strong end‑to‑end project lifecycle management capability
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management, change control, and stakeholder engagement
  • Financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasts
  • Proficiency with project planning and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project or equivalent)

Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
