Job Overview

This position is part of the Global Medical Procurement organization. The selected candidate will be the global procurement lead for the Metals Product Business Unit leading all strategic initiatives & team development. This candidate will be responsible to develop & build a global team including commodity management, supplier development engineering, and NPI. This candidate will also be engaged with potential M&A activity for the PBU. The candidate will be engaging with all functions to be a PAC leader & drive time to market improvement on NPI projects. The candidate will work cross-functionally to drive multi-year strategies and accelerate business improvement opportunities within the supply base. This will also include collaborating with the other Product Business Units within Medical to leverage commodities & best practices. The candidate will also take on “champion” initiatives for the Medical team globally including leading VAVE & other critical opportunities. Critical to this role will be exceeding established KPI goals as well as developing commodity strategy for the PBU including dual-sourcing, long term capacity commitments, and supply base segmentation.

  • Collaborate with all functions to support achieving the overall Medical BU goals  
  • Identify and select strategic suppliers within the business unit and company’s foot print / localization goals. Work with the supplier quality, engineering and supply chain functions to develop these suppliers  
  • Achieve critical annual procurement KPIs (Delivery, quality, dual sourcing, LTA %, productivity, Inventory, low cost localization, payment terms, VMI, lead-time reduction, others).
  • Drive VA/VE activities globally with engineering, quality and suppliers to achieve cost reductions and quality improvements.
  • Engage with NPI & Advanced Procurement teams for new project awareness and proactively work to close technology gaps into strategy.
  • Support the TEOA-P initiatives and Star Level attainment for the region and business unit.
  • Assure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely and complete responses to various corporate, segment, business unit and functional support requirements.
