The Role
Reporting to the Director Center of Excellence for Global Procurement, the Sr. Manager Packaging will provide leadership for the packaging commodity globally, as well as developing and managing  supplier relationships.  The role requires ability to collaborate to develop strategy and drive execution across ten TE Business Units (BU).  This position will be responsible for team development.  The ideal candidate will have desire and drive for upward mobility and exhibit the required values, performance, and behaviors to enable such.

Key Responsibilities
Develops global sourcing strategies for the Packaging commodity including sub-commodities, considering the business needs as well as optimizing the supply chain and minimizing total cost of acquisition.
•    Establish a corporate team and cooperate with global colleagues to identify, qualify, quote, negotiate and contract with all suppliers belonging to the mentioned commodities to the TE business unit of TE Connectivity.  
•    Responsible for creating global commodity strategy, communication and adherence
•    Accountable for achieving annual goals for assigned KPIs including cost, quality, delivery on a global spend of $170M+
•    Accountable for leading  idea generation and execution of ideas across all BU’s to ensure a sustainable pipeline of material productivity initiatives for the mentioned commodities
•    Capture the needs of the BUs and fulfill their expectations in commodity related KPIs and service level as internal customers.
•    Ensure suppliers are compliant to global and regional regulatory or legal requirements (RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, etc.).
•    Conduct annual business reviews with select, high-critical set of key suppliers.
•    Be the escalation point for all Packaging base issues or opportunities.
•    Participate and contribute in the key Global Procurement Council initiatives.
•    Drive improvements in the Packaging supply base in collaboration with BU functions, Procurement, Quality, Supplier Development, etc.
•    Manage relations with all key or new Packaging suppliers including quarterly business reviews and new supplier development plans.
•    Works in accordance with the TE processes, values and behaviors.

What your background should look like:

Candidate Profile 
•    At least 10 years of relatable Procurement/Sourcing, Supply Chain or Logistics experience, with at least 5 years of leading related teams in a global structure.
•    Prior experience and knowledge in Packaging industry strongly preferred.
•    Possess strong and sound continuous improvement disciplines and convictions; Proven success in these areas is a must.
•    Proven track record that demonstrates ability to achieve desired results.
•    Strong people & organizational leadership skills.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills towards staff, peers, suppliers, internal customers and leadership.
•    Ability to prioritize manage complexity in a fast-paced environment.
•    Very Strong problem-solving skills.
•    University degree in business related field, engineering or equivalent.
•    Bachelors degree in business is preferred.
•    Strong IT Skills: SAP, advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $139,360209,040 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
