Lead Plant Procurement across four DDN China plants and build one coordinated, high-performing organization that secures supply, enables NPI and growth ramps, delivers productivity, strengthens suppliers, and develops talent. The role connects plant execution with global commodity strategy and the integrated DDN supply chain.

Job Requirements

•Translate DDN priorities into a China Plant Procurement strategy, operating plan and execution roadmap.
•Lead one coordinated multi-plant organization with clear roles, governance, decision rights and escalation paths.
•Own procurement readiness for NPI, migration, localization, outsourcing and major volume ramps, including tooling, materials, supplier qualification and capacity.
•Align supplier and plant capacity with demand, identify constraints early and drive mitigation before customer commitments are at risk.
•Lead supply assurance for critical materials and suppliers through multi-sourcing, localization, contingency plans and structured recovery actions.
•Drive supplier performance and capability across delivery, quality, cost, capacity and responsiveness.
•Deliver sustainable productivity through competitive sourcing, negotiation, TCO, should-cost, VA/VE, OMP and disciplined implementation.
•Advance China-for-China localization while supporting DDN China+1 and global footprint requirements.
•Standardize procurement processes, dashboards and data across China plants; accelerate digitalization and automation.
•Ensure compliance with TE sourcing, contracting, ethics, sustainability, safety and audit requirements.
•Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing multi-site team with clear accountability and strong engagement.
•Build a sustainable talent pipeline through targeted hiring, succession planning, mobility, capability development and visible career opportunities.

What your background should look like

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
•15+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain experience in complex manufacturing.
•10 years of people-leadership experience, including multi-site or cross-functional leadership.
•Proven success in NPI, supplier readiness, capacity ramp, localization, outsourcing or sourcing transformation.
DDN | PLANT PROCUREMENT
TE Connectivity | Senior Manager, Plant Procurement, DDN China
•Strong direct-material sourcing, negotiation, cost analysis and supplier-performance experience across relevant manufacturing commodities.
•Experience influencing senior stakeholders across plants, functions, regions and suppliers in a global matrix organization.
•Strong understanding of manufacturing, integrated supply chain and ERP/MRP or digital procurement tools.
•Fluent business communication in Mandarin and English, with flexibility to travel.
Preferred experience
•Experience in electronics, connectivity, data-center infrastructure or another engineered-product environment.
•China supplier-market depth and experience supporting China+1, regional localization or global supply-network decisions.
•Experience with supplier development, should-cost, VA/VE, OMP, Lean/TEOA, sustainability or procurement digitalization.
•Engineering background is advantageous.
